What is Falcon Wire?

Posted by John Ashour on March 13, 2017

Many people in the F-16 community have heard of two of the largest F-16 structural update programs, (1) Falcon Up and (2) Falcon Star. These programs were designed by Lockheed Martin to extend the service life of F-16s. Back in 2005, InterConnect Wiring asked about increasing the service life for F-16 wiring. How Are Wiring Harnesses Built?

Posted by John Ashour on October 25, 2016

In the past year, InterConnect Wiring released a blog entitled “Why Do Aircraft Have Wiring Harnesses?“ and another blog entitled “What is a Wiring Harness?”.  Based on these two blogs a reader should know what they are and why they exist but one aspect remains; how are they built?  Although they can range in size • Read More >>

Why Do Aircraft Have Wiring Harnesses?

What is a routing list?

Posted by John Ashour on May 30, 2016

A routing list (commonly called an ‘RL’) for an aircraft is a list of each wire in a wiring harness. Routing Lists are used on all aircraft including F-16, F-22, F-35, V-22, UH-60, CH-53K, etc. It is called ‘routing’ because it contains the endpoints of each wire. For example, wire NAV-121-22 may go from reference • Read More >>

Our License

We are the sole licensee of Lockheed Martin for F-16 electrical products. Through this agreement, we have access to Lockheed Martin’s F-16 engineering data, tooling and configuration control information. We also have a Technical Services agreement with Sikorsky for all of their aircraft. This agreement allows us to obtain their engineering data needed to rewire helicopters that Sikorsky manufactures.
