Clare McGarrey - CHIEF STRATEGY OFFICER (CSO)
lare McGarrey is CSO of InterConnect Wiring and played a major role in starting InterConnect, alongside of her brother, John Ashour. Since inception, Clare’s “rapid response” to customer needs helped InterConnect flourish. In 2013 Ms. McGarrey received the esteemed award recognized by the American Registry known as the “Great Woman of Texas” by the Fort Worth Business Press.
Ms. McGarrey currently serves on the Board of Directors for InterConnect Wiring. For 12 years she served on the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) Supplier Management Council (SMC) Leadership Committee. She has held prominent positions on the Boards of the Army Aviation Association of America (QUAD-A) North Texas Chapter, the North Texas Commission (NTC), the National Guard Association of the United States (NGAUS) Corporate Advisory Council, and the Cook Children’s Hospital Family Advisory Council. For two years (2020 and 2021), Ms. McGarrey served the prestigious role as the only small business owner on the AIA Executive Committee (EXCOM) alongside Presidents & CEOs of major aerospace OEM primes including Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, BAE Systems, Textron, L3Harris, and others. The AIA EXCOM met monthly, instead of quarterly, due to the start of the COVID-19 coronavirus and the major implications the pandemic had on defense and civil aerospace. Ms. McGarrey served as the spokesperson for all small and medium-size businesses during one of the most crucial times in the history of aerospace and defense.
Clare, born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, attended Nolan Catholic High School. After high school, she obtained her Bachelor’s & Master’s degrees in Psychology & Counseling from Stephen F. Austin University where she was a National Champion, playing on the SFA Softball Fast-Pitch Team for all four years. Clare, her husband, Nick, and their son, Nicky, enjoy going on Disney cruises and theme parks all over the USA.
