What’s coming up in the 2nd Quarter of 2018 in the Aerospace Industry?

The second quarter of 2018 is approaching quickly, and we have more trade shows lined up for the next few months!

We’re kicking off April events with FIDAE 2018 in Santiago, Chile from the 3rd – 8th. FIDAE is an International Air and Space Fair with exhibitions from defense and security companies in Latin America. It has become one of the most important aerospace business platforms of its region due to its long and successful experience. To learn more, visit their website. Next up is the 2018 LAAD Security Exhibition in Sao Paulo, Brazil from April 10th – 12th. LAAD Security brings together Latin American decision makers from Public and Corporate Security to build business relationships and learn more about development in the industry. From April 10th – 12th, Clare McGarrey, InterConnect’s Vice President, will be attending Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Americas in Orlando, Florida. MRO Americas is the premier event for the commercial air transport maintenance, repair and overhaul industry. It’s hosted by Aviation Week, which is one of the leading and most trusted brands in the aerospace industry. It is a world class venue for all those involved in the MRO sector. Our last stop in April is at the 2018 Army Aviation Mission Solutions Summit in Nashville, TN from the 24th – 27th. Founded in 1957, AAAA was established as a professional network for the national Army Aviation community. It recognizes leaders of excellence in the community and acts as a way for members to be heard by the government. Learn more about it here.

From May 7th – 8th, we will be attending the Navy Contracting Summit in Norfolk, VA. This is the 5th year of the Navy Contracting Summit. This summit provides defense contractors and businesses with the latest information on Navy budgets, industry innovation, Navy mission priorities and new contracting opportunities. Then, from May 15th – 16th, we will be at Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Aviation Industry Day in Richmond, VA. This Supplier Industry Day focuses on issues critical to the current Aviation operating environment and will include various focused breakout sessions. Some of the topics covered in these breakout sessions will include subcontracting, Replenishment Parts Purchase or Borrow Program (RPPOB), Source Approval Request (SAR) packages and more! In June, we’ll be attending two trade shows, the first of which is the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) Supplier Management Council (SMC) Summer Meeting, from June 13th-18th, in Baltimore, MD. This AIA SMC meeting will be hosted by Northrop Grumman. AIA’s Supplier Management Council meetings are a forum where supply chain representatives meet to tackle issues facing the supply chain and hear the latest industry trends. This event features B2B meetings with the host company, industry informational sessions, networking opportunities, a keynote dinner and a tour of the host company’s facilities. And the last stop for our 2nd quarter trade shows will be in Columbus, OH, from June 19th – 20th for the DLA Land and Maritime Supplier Conference and Exposition. This two-day event is hosted by the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) and DLA Land & Maritime to provide a forum for current and potential suppliers to discuss future logistics support strategies and challenges, and to streamline efforts to better support the Warfighter. Our License

We are the sole licensee of Lockheed Martin for F-16 electrical products. Through this agreement, we have access to Lockheed Martin’s F-16 engineering data, tooling and configuration control information. We also have a Technical Services agreement with Sikorsky for all of their aircraft. This agreement allows us to obtain their engineering data needed to rewire helicopters that Sikorsky manufactures.
