The holiday season is quickly approaching, which means it’s time once again for InterConnect’s Annual Christmas Toy Drive! For the past 8 years, InterConnect has hosted a toy drive to benefit the Como Community Center, located just 2 miles from InterConnect Wiring in our immediate community.
We at InterConnect always look for ways to give back to our local community, and the Como Community Center has served our area in so many ways! The center was built in 1970 and has offered a great after-school program for over 20 years now, with more than 150 students participating every year. Additionally, the center also offers several meal programs as well as a Mobile Pantry initiative done in collaboration with Tarrant Area Food Bank. Not only does Como provide vital assistance to low-income individuals, but they are also the only community center in Fort Worth with a track and field team, as well as pee-wee football and youth cheerleading leagues.
There is a very large box located in our main lobby at 5024 W. Vickery Blvd, Fort Worth where you can leave donations. For anyone who would like to donate, we ask that you bring a new, unwrapped toy anytime between 8 AM – 4 PM, Monday through Thursday, from now until December 12th. We appreciate your kind generosity and look forward to filling the box full of toys for the children! Thank you!
