InterConnect Wiring, a small business specializing in manufacturing aerospace and defense electrical wiring harnesses and cockpit panels, has achieved a perfect SPRS score of 110 in a readiness assessment conducted by CyberSheath, a Registered Provider Organization (RPO). This means that after several years of working toward it, InterConnect’s relentless IT Manager, Doug Symes, and his IT Team, have succeeded in bringing up InterConnect Wiring to fully meet all 110 NIST SP 800-171 Rev 2 cybersecurity controls for protecting sensitive DoD data. In other words, InterConnect Wiring is CMMC Level 2 Complaint! The next step: Have a C3PAO assessment to obtain formal certification, ensuring we can continue supporting Department of Defense (DoD) and aerospace Primes as this is a requirement to support the DoD. CMMC requirements apply to all DoD solicitations and contracts pursuant to which a defense contractor or subcontractor will process, store, or transmit Federal Contract Information (FCI) or Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) on unclassified contractor information systems, including those for the acquisition of commercial items.
