Rebekah’s role intertwines with various departments within InterConnect, creating a nexus of collaboration essential for operational efficiency. “We have multiple other contract admins so we all have different roles with different customers.” This collaborative dynamic extends to data entry colleagues who assist in compiling vital information for contracts and quotes. Rebekah seamlessly interfaces with purchasing and planning teams, serving as a conduit for information exchange between internal departments and customers.

Reflecting on her trajectory, Rebekah shares, “Seeing those purchase orders come in…I helped put together a quote for them and they’re accepting it and now we have work for everyone to do.” Her sense of fulfillment emanates from witnessing the tangible outcomes of her efforts, irrespective of the order size, knowing each contributes to the collective success of the team.

For Rebekah, aerospace is more than just a profession; it’s a familial legacy intertwined with her upbringing. Raised in Fort Worth, Texas, she fondly recalls her father’s association with Lockheed Martin, spanning over three decades. Her childhood echoes with memories of visiting Lockheed, where her fascination with fighter jets took root. “Even before working here, I had some kind of understanding of F-16s and F-35s, because of my dad,” she shares. Working at InterConnect not only allows Rebekah to immerse herself in the aerospace realm but also strengthens her bond with her father through shared conversation about their mutual passion.

Working alongside her spouse, InterConnect’s Training Manager Malich Salinas-Quijas, adds a unique dimension to her experience. “It’s really fun being able to work at the same place as your spouse,” she notes.
