On March 11, 2025, InterConnect Wiring proudly partnered with the Jane Justin School at Cook Children’s to help students gain valuable workplace readiness skills.
The initiative was designed to support high school students with developmental and learning disabilities as they prepare for the future.
Representing InterConnect, Corporate Culture Coordinator, Maria Ashour, and HR Manager, Kim Tooke, hosted a booth where they guided students through mock interviews.
These one-on-one practice sessions allowed students to experience the interview process firsthand: answering questions, showcasing their strengths, and learning strategies to present themselves with confidence.
For many of the upper school students, this was a unique opportunity to interact with professionals in a supportive environment. The experience gave them practical tools they can carry into real-world job interviews, helping them build both communication and confidence skills essential for long-term success.
