Third Quarter Trade Shows and Events

2018 has been an exciting year for InterConnect Wiring, filled with plenty of trade shows, events, and conferences, all over the world. We will continue to attend many more events during this 3rd quarter of the year.

Already this July, we attended the Farnborough International Airshow (FIA) in London where we experienced world-class static and flying displays and met with fellow Aerospace & Defense (A&D) industry exhibitors. During the FIA, the governor’s office of the Great State of Texas supported InterConnect Wiring by providing a booth. John Ashour, president of InterConnect, and I even went to Kensington Palace for the phenomenal Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) reception where the president and CEO of AIA, Eric Fanning, as well as the US ambassador to the UK, Ambassador Woody Johnson, were present. We look forward to returning to Farnborough in two years and attending the Paris Air Show in 2019.

In August we will be kicking off our events with Tinker & the Primes in Midwest City, OK, from the 14th – 16th. This show has a strong reputation for attracting hundreds of aerospace, defense, and government organizations to network and develop business relations with one another. Some of the conference’s favorite events include featured briefings from Tinker Air Force Base, opportunities to tour the base, as well as a contracting academy with educational workshops. Find out more from their website.

Our final event in August is the NGAUS 140th General Conference & Exhibition in New Orleans from the 24th – 27th. This exhibition is hosted by the National Guard Association of the United States, which is the oldest and sole lobbyist military association for the National Guard. This conference provides a variety of both business and social networking opportunities for attendees. Check out their website.

Next up on our schedule, from September 10th – 13th is the annual F-16 Technical Coordination Group (TCG) Worldwide Review (WWR) in Ogden, Utah. The F-16 TCG WWR is the capstone service provided by the TCG each year allowing all member countries to gather in one location to discuss common configuration, maintenance, and logistics issues and meet with qualified suppliers, USG Engineers, Equipment Specialists and Program Managers for possible solutions. Because InterConnect Wiring is the Number One F-16 Wiring Harness and Panel Manufacturer in the World, this conference is extremely important and beneficial to InterConnect Wiring, our F-16 Distributors, our F-16 customers, all F-16 Users, and Lockheed Martin, who developed the F-16 in 1973. In fact, InterConnect Wiring is the Sole Licensee for Lockheed Martin for F-16 Electrical Products and Programs. Last year, a brief similar to this article on Kapton vs TKT was presented by InterConnect at the F-16 TCG WWR. We made this fun-to-watch video of the making of InterConnect’s t-shirts to celebrate our 25th Anniversary.  At this year’s F16 TCG WWR, InterConnect will brief the F-16 Community on two informative topics: (1) recommended Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) for F-16 wiring, and (2) a comprehensive solution to the current F-16 harness issues behind the 3308 panel door.

Lastly, we will round out this quarter in National Harbor, Maryland, from September 17th – 19th at the Air Force Association (AFA) Air, Space, and Cyber Conference. This is one of the nation’s premier events for defense and aerospace professionals to connect with one another. This event draws in important Air Force leaders and keynote speakers such as the Secretary of the Air Force, the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, commanders, and chief master sergeants of the Air Force. You can read more about this event on their website.

Our License

We are the sole licensee of Lockheed Martin for F-16 electrical products. Through this agreement, we have access to Lockheed Martin’s F-16 engineering data, tooling and configuration control information. We also have a Technical Services agreement with Sikorsky for all of their aircraft. This agreement allows us to obtain their engineering data needed to rewire helicopters that Sikorsky manufactures.
