How Do You Mark Shrink Tubing for a UH-60 Black Hawk Wiring Harness?

Check out InterConnect Wiring’s second episode of our new VLOG series to assist the aerospace and defense (A&D) community. We hope you enjoy our VLOGS and learn all there is to know about manufacturing electrical wiring harnesses, circuit breaker panels, loose wire assemblies, cockpit panels, power panels, and complete aircraft rewiring.

“Hello, my name is Steve Floyd, Shop Foreman at InterConnect Wiring. Today we’re going to be talking about how to mark shrink tubing on a UH-60 Black Hawk wiring harness.

Wiring Harnesses – Aircraft Rewiring – Cockpit Panels – Console Wiring

The first step in our process is to obtain the information we will be marking on the heat shrink tubing. From there, we will determine the correct data and import it into our system. It is then the heat shrink tubing can be prepared for marking.

Next, the tubing is fed through the Tyco machine and passed through the ribbon where it can be pre-cut to an already predetermined length.

The operator then separates and verifies the marking and will kit the parts with the others to identify specific locations on the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter’s avionic systems.

Thanks for watching and tuning in. We are InterConnect Wiring. Be sure to check out our website for more future vlogs and updates.”

Our License

We are the sole licensee of Lockheed Martin for F-16 electrical products. Through this agreement, we have access to Lockheed Martin’s F-16 engineering data, tooling and configuration control information. We also have a Technical Services agreement with Sikorsky for all of their aircraft. This agreement allows us to obtain their engineering data needed to rewire helicopters that Sikorsky manufactures.
