We are pleased that you are taking the time to go on a tour with us. Our tours are the best way to get to know us. We hope you enjoy it!
The basic building block for all of InterConnect’s products is wire. We typically have over 90 miles of wire in stock at any time. As you can see it comes in all sizes and colors.
Every manufacturing process is periodically reviewed and studied by our Process Kaizen Teams. There is never a time that there are fewer than two ongoing Process Kaizens to figure out ways to improve our processes. Our engineers constantly design new machinery and tooling to improve our performance. We never stop improving.
Our team of qualified technicians takes pride in getting the job done right. Most of our workforce is comprised of electrical assemblers. All are trained for many weeks on our assembly processes. Yearly recurring training ensures that they maintain their skill level and expertise. Our assemblers are the backbone of InterConnect.
All of our products undergo numerous in-process inspections to ensure they comply with our customer’s requirements. Likewise, our products are tested using our advanced wiring analyzers. Finally, each product undergoes a final inspection to verify that there are no mistakes. All of our employees take great pride in our reputation for no returned products. We constantly strive for perfection.
We keep an unusually large amount of piece part inventory to help our customers with fast track programs. Many of our customers are amazed at our lead times. In some cases, we receive a purchase order in the morning and deliver a completed assembly by the close of business that same day. Our advanced inventory tracking system lets us know where every job is physically located in our facility from the time a job is “kitted up” to the time it is shipped out.
Our devoted staff will assist you with any snags that may occur during your production run. We have an entire department dedicated to engineering design support. We'll work hand in hand with you during the design stages. We have a system in place to handle multiple engineering changes to support prototypes and new platforms.
InterConnect has a very robust scheduling system. After contract review, every job is loaded and scheduled in our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system according to our customer’s delivery request date. We monitor, on a daily basis, whether each job started and finished on-time. A green light shows we are moving rapidly on schedule, and a red light shows we are behind - in which case our shop floor managers are notified to fix the bottleneck immediately. There are displays throughout our facility showing whether a program is on-schedule or not. We also have monitors displaying how each assembler performs against anticipated takt times. Finally, we purposely work many months ahead of schedule to be able to take on quick turnaround projects for our customers.
You will have a dedicated account manager to take care of all of your needs. Additionally, our Vice President of Business Development and Co-Founder, Clare McGarrey, will be happy to assist you at any time.
We are the sole licensee of Lockheed Martin for F-16 electrical products. Through this agreement, we have access to Lockheed Martin’s F-16 engineering data, tooling and configuration control information. We also have a Technical Services agreement with Sikorsky for all of their aircraft. This agreement allows us to obtain their engineering data needed to rewire helicopters that Sikorsky manufactures.
