VLOG: Inspecting a Wiring Harness, Part 1: Solder Sleeves & Connector Grommets

Hi! My name is Malich and I’m the Training Manager at InterConnect, where Connections Matter. Today we’ll be looking at the steps our inspectors take to inspect a ground support wiring harness.

How To Inspect A Ground Support Wiring Harness

During the assembly process, inspection will be required multiple times by the assembler. In this case, we need to inspect the solder sleeves. To do that, we will inspect the front and back to ensure that there is proper flow and nothing has pierced the outer sleeve. Next, we will do a grommet inspection making sure all contacts are seated and the filler plugs are placed correctly. It all looks good!
