During last week’s 2022 F-16 TCG WWR InterConnect Wiring announced the opening of our new sheet metal shop. InterConnect’s Vice President, Clare McGarrey, made the announcement during the briefings Monday morning September 12th.
While this is a change for InterConnect Wiring it is one that complements our electrical products for the F-16, F-15, C-130 and more. We have found in the past that a source of long lead times was sheet metal. Due to this InterConnect has been working hard over the past 5 years to make our sheet metal shop a reality. The shop will help decrease the cost of our panels and allow the cockpit, circuit breaker, matrix assembly, and relay panels to be made faster than ever before.
The sheet metal shop will be in InterConnect’s recently renovated building which is next to our current facilities and on the newly acquired land and real estate. Please, come out and see it for yourself on a tour! You can view InterConnect’s PowerPoint for this year’s F-16 TCG WWR presentation here.
At the F-16 TCG WWR, Clare McGarrey led attendees on an exercise about change. While change is not intuitive at first, it is something that can be learned over time. We look forward to this change and how it will impact the future of our company and our customers.
We know this addition of sheet metal solutions for the F-16 and other military, aerospace, and defense platforms will be one that helps us create better electrical products and be a better partner with our customers. After all, at InterConnect Wiring, Connections Matter!
